EXPRESSIVE ABSTRACT LANDSCAPES

My landscape paintings are bold, expressive and semi-abstract with strong shapes, colours and patterns which reflect elements found in the landscape. I work in quite an intuitive way adding layers of colours, using glazes, exploring mark-making and gestures in order to express my experience of nature. My work is an emotional response to the natural environment and an attempt to recreate flowing rhythms and repetition found in the natural flow of nature.
